Ravneet Bitu, Congress Party’s nominee for Anandpur Sahib’s parliamentary seat represents a change in Congress mind set that real progress cannot be brought about in the country unless youth is given adequate representation in the parliament. There needs to be fine mix of youth and experience. 30% of representation being given to youth is Mr. Rahul Gandhi’s idea who is emerging as youth icon in political arena.

Bitu belongs to a family who has a history of sacrifice in service of the nation, in particular Punjab. Grand son of late S Beant Singh, Ex Chief Minister of Punjab has been born and brought up in political environment. His popularity came to fore and was recognized by Mr. Gandhi when he became first elected President of Punjab Youth Congress. He won the election by a huge margin. A dashing young man, he is bubbling with new ideas and energy. He makes it a point to reach out to all section of society seeking their support/blessings.
